Academy 65 is a 6-story, 270-bed, 97,000 square foot premier, off-campus student housing community where innovation and college living intersect. This six-story building encompasses 5 levels of apartments, parking garage and retail on the ground level. Amenities include private and group study spaces, courtyard consisting of a bar and grill area, fire pits and a hot tub, 24-hour fitness center, game room and entertainment lounges.

Best Real Estate Projects INNOVATION

Eviva Midtown is Sacramento’s first modular residential project at 176,521 square feet, 118 apartments. The building has five stories of rental units atop a concrete podium housing ground-level retail space and one level of subterranean parking. Eviva’s 200 modular units were prefabricated off-site in Boise, Idaho. Each modular unit weighed between 30,000  and 60,000 pounds. It took seven weeks for Tricorp to set the modular units in place.

16 Powerhouse is a 6-story building containing the first mechanical car stackers in Sacramento. The high-end finishes, restaurants and coffee shop are some of the special amenities of this unique building.  The building exceeds State Title 24 energy efficiency standards by 56 percent and is LEED Gold certified.

“It really raised the bar on what people have been doing on 16th street,” said Tom Kigar of CADA. “When I walk by there now, it feels like it has been there forever."

The $32 million facility combines activity and recreation under one roof for use by the student and faculty at UC Davis.

 

TMCS, the construction Management arm of Tricorp was instrumental as the Program Manager from hiring the contractor, McCarthy Building Companies through design, preconstruction and construction.

 

The second-floor jogging track meandering over and around the climbing wall created a fantastic connection and flow between two buildings.  This created many logistical challenges with fire codes, occupancy, air balance and commissioning of the facility, which were all resolved during design and construction in a teamwork atmosphere.

 

This 155,000 square-foot, $32 million complex was delivered on time and within budget through collaboration and ingenuity by the entire project team.

Tony Moayed, CEO and Founder of Tricorp Group, received the 

President's Medal for Distinguished Service 

in 2013 from Dr. Alex Gonzalez, President of California State University, Sacramento

Mr. Moayed’s many contributions span over 10 years, including:

  • A Professor teaching the Advanced Estimating class at CSUS for 5 years,

  • Co-founder of the Sacramento Construction Management Education Foundation Board (SCMEF) supporting educational excellence for the construction management industry,

  • Chairman of the Reno Competition while sitting on the Board of SCMEF for 5 years,

  • Program Manager for the $240 million South Quadrant Campus improvement plan. In this he managed the design and construction of such facilities as the WELL, Bookstore, Broad Athletic Facility, Parking Structure III while helping deliver the Destination 2010 initiative, on time and within budget, and,

  • Leading an successful sponsored Tricorp Annual Golf Tournament for 10 years benefiting the CSUS' Construction Management program.
