The project managers are responsible for the overall management of a construction project from preconstruction through closeout. Some of the tasks include leading the project team, maintaining the projects budget, maintaining client and subcontractor relationships, enforcing contractual obligations, mentoring other team members, assisting the superintendent with safety, schedule, and quality control on the job site, and reporting project status to the project stakeholders.
The project engineers are responsible for the timely flow of information on projects. Some of the key tasks include managing the submittal and RFI process, maintaining project records, assisting the project manager and superintendent in updating project schedules, maintaining meeting minutes, and assisting the project team where needed whether on-site or in the corporate office.
The superintendents are responsible for safely delivering a high-quality project on-time. Primary responsibilities of the superintendent include enforcing worker safety on-site, enforcing the project schedule, coordinating and verifying the work of subcontractors, enforcing quality control, and documenting jobsite conditions.
